Mobile brings optimism back to Music Industry
For plenty of years it seemed that big music labels lost the connection to the true music business.
A digital lifestyle, the invention of mp3 and music piracy destroyed record sales, budgets of music labels and the daily income of artists.
MLOVE Mobile x Music marked the beginning of a new area for the music industry, for artists as well as marketers, label managers and tech creatives of all kinds. MLOVE has shown how Mobile enables new revenue sources, unprecendent social experiences through sharing music and the option for artists to finally live from what they nearly died for.
Today we are starting our first video posts from the MLOVE Mobile x Music event – the series will include speakers like GRAMMY’s, Spotify, Roskilde Festival and more.
Straight in the middle of Reeperbahn Festival, Europe’s biggest innercity music event, MLOVE brought together an impressive line-up of entrepreneurs and mobile experts to redefine the future of music with Mobile, social media, tech and classic channels like radio or TV.
“Mobile handsets make music transferrable and streamable to other parts of the world“ reminds Beverly Jackson (Sr. Director Mobile and Social Media Marketing GRAMMY’s). With the help of Mobile and social media Beverly made the GRAMMY’s the most social event in the world a.k.a. „the biggest night on social media“ in 2012 by asking a simple question: „Do you mobilize your social, or do you socialize your mobile“?
Do you mobilize your social, or do you socialize your mobile?
How did she manage to do that? Check out her MLOVE talk in this video!
