Bernd Kolb, our future starts exactly now!
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it,” says Bernd Kolb, founder of the Club of Marrakesh, an organization of international innovators alive with the entrepreneurial spirit and a firm commitment to achieving sustainability through profitability.
How can mobile help insure a strong future for both our ecosystems and economies?
Ways of being and civilizations are not static and they are not invincible no matter how seemingly pervasive and omnipotent. Bernd Kolb
Founder, Club of Marrakesh
Bernd Kolb is considered a visionary and is widely recognized for his innovative work. He is the recipient of various prizes and awards including being named »German Businessman of the Year« as well as having held the position of Chief Executive for Innovation at Deutsche Telekom, one of Europe’s biggest telecom providers.
Kolb left behind these accolades to work as a “social entrepreneur” and “change agent” helping to navigate the complex challenges amongst us and to develop innovative new solutions to deal with those challenges. In founding the “Club of Marrakesh”, Kolb gathers international thinkers, scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs to develop integrated ground-breaking projects and to implement them. The approach is entrepreneurial in nature and follows the principle that sustainability can be only achieved through profitability.
Kolb is looking back on an extraordinarily successful career as an entrepreneur in the thriving years of the New Economy. He made money with his innovative technology company I-D Media that went public on the German stock exchange in 1999. The Club of Marrakesh is a global network of interdisciplinary innovators, working together on the principle of open source and collaboration, stimulating new thinking for a sustainable future of the global society.
